i posted a thread a few months ago about having a misfire in my #5 cylinder. there was no compression so i tore it down. i pulled the motor and ripped off the head. assuming there was a valve problem. i found that the #5 exhaust valve was bent. so it was not seating right, hence the lack of compression. what my problem is that i noticed all the valves have slightly touched the pistons. the reason for this is because i installed a stroker kit in the car. and now i have less clearance. i was under the impression that the stroker kit could be used with stock heads. if i were to put new valves back in i would be wasting my time. they would just bend. the worst piston was the #5 cylinder. which just looks like someone took there fingernail and just barely stuck it in a piece of clay. its so minor but still serious of course. i am not worried about putting the the car back together with the bottom end like it is. but i need to decide what can be done to eliminate this problem. whether its a different cam, head gasket or whatever. i have no idea and would like someone with some good ideas or maybe the correct solution. im actually kind of glad i finally figured it out. but now i need to fix it.... i am sure i am not the only one who had this happen.
thanks!
