stuck door

I am just now getting really into starting my restoration on my 68 fastback and my drivers side door does not open. I took the door panel off and tried pulling on the it. no go. any suggestions.

if you're doing a full restoration, just start pulling bolts off..... if ur window is up, u should be able to get access to the striker.
if you are having trouble getting the door open................... good luck with the rest of the restoration!

Maybe this pic will help:

If you can reach in and make sure the lever with the long slot is up (lock/unlock rod), then move the other lever behind it up (catch release).
