Whats the pros/cons of using stud mount rockers and ped. mount rockers? I need a set for my heads, and want to know which would be better?

bimmertech said:it's a real pita to machine the heads right. they have to take off some material on the mount pads, drill out the holes, and tap larger holes for the studs. taking of the material is to accomdate the increased install height of the guid plates and studs. if you don't plan on spinning your motor over 6k, save your money. just my .02
i'm just sayin it'll prolly cost you about $600 after parts and labor to convert your heads to stud mount. sell those P's and use that 600 to buy some used stud mount alum heads and rockers.matthiasj said:well ****...i was planning on spinning the motor past 6k...

matthiasj said:grady, i will be keeping the iron heads for a long time...although i'm not going to put the money into them for stud mounts, i'll just get some 1.7's and be done with it. Thanks for the info
