Engine Stumped any ideas?

One side has the gt stamp and 3 bars. Other side has the numbers 23 stamped. Any clue as to what the 23 stamp is? Any clues or push in the right direction would be appreciated. Thank you

The stamp is on one end of the head. So GT would be on the front on the passenger side, and on the back on the drivers side. The numbers on the other end of each head can be different and I don't know what that means. I have GT 40 heads from a 96 explorer. Each head has a GT on one end. Then one has a 71 and the other a 22 on the other end.

Thank you good sir... I figured it was a shot in the dark but had to ask. My first “5.0” might be better off as a mystery, the more and more I research the build I’m uncovering the fact that it’s a “Faux.0.” Lesson learned
