I'm plenty old enough to remember the Police Intercepter designation, but I never heard it referred to as a PI. There were a very few engines that were ACTUALLY Police Intercepter engines, but most anyone who had four barrel V8 in their Ford would call it a Police Intercepter.
I stand corrected on the S281. I assumed that the S meant supercharged.
