I was screwing around replacing the exhaust on my car today (yay, finally!) and had the hood up and noted that the plug wires are dated as "1995." The car only has 50K and no stumbles/misfires (that I am aware), so not worried 'bout the maintenance aspect, just a curiosity.
Question: does this stamping (ink, really) designate the model year the plug wires are supposed to fit or the manufacture date of the plug wires?
I used to work for a Saturn dealer and the manufacture year was inked on the wires, but don't know if FoMoCo does the same thing or opposite to differentiate from their rivals at GM.
Thanks!
