My windows are electric and broken. They don't roll down. I have dreams almost every night that they roll down, but then I wake up and they're still broken. I don't really mind right now because I don't eat fast food and it's too cold to roll them down, but summer is approaching rapidly fast...

I've checked the fuses and changed the buttons, neither were the problem. When I bought the car, the guy told me it was the buttons and gave me new ones. I figured that wasn't it, but since I was getting a decent deal on the car I didn't really care.

Does anyone know what the problem could be? My old car was a GTS, manual windows FTW. :nice:

Hold the button down and slam the door while youre doing that, it should free up the motor. My drivers side window wouldnt roll down one day out of the blue. I ended up taking the door panel off to check the voltage at the motor. While it was off I held the button down and hit the door with my fist where the motor was and the window started working and its worked fine ever since.

On a more serious note:

They all look like they feed from a common ground. If that ground is bad then nothing would work. Correct me if I'm wrong. Here's the wiring diagram.

hey what year is your car? I have a 97 and had a 95 that both had a similar problem. Inside the door panel near the upper left hand side is a black box. On one of my cars it came unplugged on the other it went bad. I forget what its called but it has number on it, you can by pass it with a jumper wire and test if its bad. If so take the number to ford and get a new one. GOOD LUCK! enjoy the summer it getting cold here.,:nice:
