so I yanked my old subwoofer box out that was taking up a ton of space, and I ordered one off of ebay. now this subbox showed up and it was very nicely packaged, and looked very professional, but it didn't exactly fit. so i had to hack it up a little bit to make it fit, and it doesn't look the greatest, but I've seen much much worse (eeerrr...my old subbox...yeah). I pulled my graphic equalizer out as it was giving me a lot of engine interference noise, and I rewired everything (new metra harness, new pioneer cd player harness, re-routed amp wires, and covered them with blue wireloom, and I have to admire my handiwork a little bit, because I didn't do too bad of a job in my opinion.

I do like the acoustics of the box, makes my subs hit pretty darn hard, and I notice a big difference between this box and the other box, which is good!

here's the pics!

amp re-wired

had to remove the Mach 460 Amp Rack, and mount the 460 amps on my box, but it wasn't too difficult.

Great job!

I would look into getting some carpet for the sub box that matches the other trunk carpet. That will set it off and make it look more professional and less thrown in.

Here's the custom setup I built that replaced my Mach 1000 system a while ago. I too had to work around the Mach amp rack. I just built the box so it fit under it.

actually i think i'm gonna find some black plastic about 1/4" and see if I can't mold a cover onto that thing that will form around the wheels wells, and hide everything. if it works out, I'm gonna take it and have it painted sonic blue and then mount it over that so it will look good.
