Do you guys recommend getting aftermarket welded subframe connectors on a new 08 GT vert?

I have an 00 GT vert and it made a huge difference, but I'm wondering if the 08 needs it?

If so, recommendations?

Do they even make SFCs for the s197 chassis? It is not at all like the pre-05 chassis... Not sure what they would connect on this car

That's what I was wondering.

Or is the vert already so stiff that it doesn't need it?

It can't be all that stiff since the Super Snake will have 725hp and the vert will ONLY have 600hp since they don't feel the chassis is stiff enough for the added power.

BMR Fabrication has a nice set. I put them on my GT & love them makes it real easy to jack up the car & it is more rigid too.

I read an article a year or so ago and it claimed that the new generation mustang in stock trim is equally as stiff as a fox body(sedan) with a full cage and welded frame connectors.
Maybe on a vert if you have loads of torque it's a good idea but probably not as necessary on the GT as previous models.
I like the idea of an easier jacking point though.

Correct me if I'm wrong but aren't the S-197's full chassis cars? I'm pretty sure that's the case and if so, there is no real need for Subframe connectors.

The S197 is still a uni-body car. No full frame.

Unibody, and it's 30% stiffer than the previous generation. You won't need sub frame connectors unless running big hp...like 600 plus.

Yep, all the places I've contacted don't make them for the vert.

It is pretty stiff on it's own, but a convertible can always use more stiffening.
