Anyone know if they work with side exhausts? I seem to remember someone saying one way or the other, and since they said something I would assume it was because they wouldn't work.

I remember hearing about some brand of SFCs, or maybe it was the exhaust, that was made to work with the side exit.

A local shop just quoted me $80 to weld in subframe connectors. Is that a standard rate or should I look elsewhere?

Hey you're right over in Tampa...Clearwater here myself.

Dunno which shop it was that quoted that price...but Fordspeed Racing over here will install subframes for $85 dollars...that includes the full length subframes AND labor. I think Blue Oval Corral does them for like $40-50 bucks or so.

The shop I contacted was Ramsey's Performance.

$85 for BOTH subframes AND install? That sounds like a sweet deal! What brand of SFC do they use?
I'm going to contact Blue Oval also.

Thanks!

In my area shops charge from 70+, I don't really know how long it took really. I was there shooting the breeze with the g/f and 50-gt-kid (Eric).

You can get subframes that work with side exit exhaust from spintech.

Chowder head - Yep, that $85 is for the SFC and the labor. The shop is FordSpeed Racing. They make their own full length subframe connectors.

You can call Blue Oval as well...727-571-1996 and ask for Chad. Tell him Eric Powell and Danny from Tampa Bay Mustangs sent you and he'll take good care of you, he gives discounts to our Mustang club over here.

Also Danny, I think it took their welder about 30 mins to do your car once he got there. I thought Chad welded yours in for $40 though? Maybe I am confused.

You're right he quoted me $60 over the phone then after catching up aka bsing with him for a while he said "I'll give you the Danny you still my boy discount give me $40". So before you could change his mind I paid him thanks for correcting me :Teh-Win: it was $40 installed
