I agree that would be your quad shocks, which I heard that if want to use wide radials you might have to remove them.

control arms?

I bought upper and lower rear control arms from summit, and picked up new shocks for the rear. Will I need to replace that "quad shock" part?

Thanks in advance for any advice.

I run 315 DR's with no rubbing. I wouldn't remove them unless you have some upgraded rear suspension parts. if there is a rubbing issue, just flip them around. They are there to reduce wheel hop.

Except for the fact that 100% of the mustangs I've worked on have had blown quad shocks (some as low as 6k miles like my own car!). If you're staying with stock style suspension components get a set of Bilstein quad shocks: http://www.maximummotorsports.com/s...product_info&cPath=23_113_263&products_id=971
