Anyone know if there is a "short" oil filter made for the 5.0 motors? We are putting one into a Mazda B and the filter just about touches the steering arm. Could go with the relocation kit but thought there might be a short filter for these motors. Thanks!

I´m not a friend of the fram filters. The metal is very thin and they tend to burst. Especially with cold engines and high oil pressure

Yes.

Look up whatever oil filter comes on SSP Mustangs. They run an oil cooler, so run a shorter filter to compensate

EDIT: Same filter as 94-95 Cobra Motorcraft FL-300

Ditto on the '94-95 Cobra's. They use the shorter filter as Mustang 5L5 noted. I use K&N filters: the Cobra filter is HP 2004; it is 1 5/8" shorter than the HP 3001. I just removed the AC and went the other way; putting in the larger oil filter, and had both in the garage.

Dont use fram, use a motorcraft FL300, there is also a AC Delco filter I was going to run for my flipped shorty headers on my turbo setup because I liked the blue color, but it still wasn't short enough, I forgot the number i think it was PF13. If those dont work you can always use a 90* adapter, this is what I need to use.
