Summit H-pipe Question

OK, so I have it all installed on my car, but the "h" section where its supposed to clamp to itself doesn't want to stay clamped, would it be a good idea if I just took it in to have it welded up so that I just don't have to worry about it...

That would be the best thing to do. That's what I've done with two cat-backs so far.

got it welded and the guy was pro, 20 bux to weld that and weld up the air tube...

really nice guys, they were like I didn't see anything in relation to no cats...

it'll leak a lot less too.
My summit seamed to leak at the seam there, not a lot, but just enough to make it a little black after 2000 miles or so.

and it helps keep it from rusting there.

I always had problems with the Summit pipes -- I could see a weld helping.
