Has anyone purchased one of these?
Summit SUM-640726 - Summit® H-Pipes - summitracing.com
I have been searching threads and can't find any iformation on it. I have allways been a fan of X-pipes but from what I have read I need to use an H-pipe instead of an X-pipe because my car has chambered mufflers. (I have the Ford Racing GTA's) I was gonna get a Pypes H-pipe but don't like the 4 piece design.

from what i've heard of summit exhaust products, is the fitment is not the greatest. you don't HAVE to run a H pipe with chambered mufflers, its more a preference. you can run an X, pro chamber, no crossover tube. etc.

chambered mufflers sound best with pro chambers and h pipes. Pro chambers supposed to give a little bit more power like an X, just the deep sound of an H.

for 150 bucks, you can't really argue on fitment though, take a BFH to it and make it fit and call it a day.

I have the summit h-pipe on my car. It was a simple install but afterwards I discovered a small leak where the two halves of the h come together. That might've have been my fault for not making sure everything was lined up before tightening everything up. Even if there had not been a leak it was my intention to have the h welded up, which I did. If you take your time with the install you probably won't have any leaks. On one of my trips back through Atlanta I stopped at the Summit store and brought it home, for less than 150.00 dollars plus 10.00 dollars to weld the H I'm satisfied.

The Summit o/r h-pipe is only two pieces and has good fitment, as opposed to the Pypes (junk) design, which is four pieces. They are both about the same price. I welded the the connection at the "h" and at the over axle pipes connections. Have had no leaks. I just can't imagine using band clamps on these types of exhaust components, Ive seen people have exhaust leaks as a result.

I think I may just break the rule of using an X-pipe with chambered mufflers and order one from UPR.

If you can, just get a Mac Prochamber. The guys at Brenspeed said that it flows the best, when compared to both h and x pipes. It definitely sounds the best, IMO. It will be my next mod. The only negative, they are more expensive than the rest.
