A Sunoco gasoline station just opened up by my house, and I noticed on the sign that they have a type called GT Race Fuel. I have not stopped in to check it out yet, but does anyone know if this the same as their 100 octane GT Race fuel (http://www.racegas.com/gt100locals/)

I have no need for it right now. I just thought it was interesting, and wanted to know if any one has any experience with it.

The only way to tell would be to stop in and see what the octane rating is on the pump. That would be pretty cool if it was...the best i can get out here is 92

would be good for modded car probably with some added timing . dont use any race fuel with LEAD in it if you have converters , offroad pipes wont matter .

It will also screw up your O2 sensors

They can't sell leaded gass on the street anyhow. It's for o/r use only. It'd say go for it. It's probably unleaded 100+ octane. It'll cost you more, and may not be that much of a difference. I like it because it smells cool! Only one way to find out. There's a gas station in San Antonio that all the street racers knew about. They had 99 VP in one pump for $2.50 a gallon (too bad that was like 3 yrs ago). Now super 93 is closing in on that amount.

I have just never seen a public gas station offer 100 octane fuel before. I live in Gainesville, FL and this station is on the way to the track. This is the track that they have the Gator Nationals at. Maybe they just though it would be worth putting the reace fuel pump in due to the track. I will go check it out after work, and am affraid how much it is going to cost considering 93 octane here is $2.00.
