I recently bought glass weatherstrip from Lmr to replace the old dry rotted strip currently on my sunroof. I peeled off the old stuff and installed the new. It seemed to go on the glass ok but when i put the sunroof back on the car it wont seat correctly and i cant get it down to latch. What are my options to make this work? Shave some of the weatherstripping off? Pics attached

Something on your weatherstrip doesn't look right. Pic #2 has too many layers.

I replaced my weatherstrip a couple years ago. The material attached to the glass trim should have a felt type finish.

Can i ask where you bought it from? Im guessing LMR gave me the wrong item? Mine does have a felt finish but seems to have a lot more layers than your pic. Here is another picture

I think I got mine from LMR as well. Either that or it was some Dennis Carpentier product that I bought second hand but was new in the package.

Do you have a picture of the cross section of your material (maybe a piece you trimmed off). You may have installed in the wrong orientation (just a theory).

In the 4th picture, is the outside(top) of the glass facing the left?
If so it's upside-down
