Hey guys,
well i just got my two piece sunroof kit from 5.0 resto today to fix my leaking and noisy sunroof. How do you go about removing the sunroof itself. Do you just remove the two screws on the prop/handle thing? Does anyone have any experience with this kit or have a decent how to. Im sure it cant be that hard, but you never know with a 15 year old car u know!? Any help would be appreciated! thanks

Done....that was the easiest thing i have ever done with a stang! literally ten minutes from start to stop....that old glass seal was absolutely shot. I had to break it off in little pieces b/c it was so brittle. The 5.0 resto kit fits very well...i highly recommend it to anyone with a leaky noisy sunroof!

I dunno, having driven in a T-topped Mustang it's a lot more open it seems.

DOn't get me wrong, i have a sunroof on my 5.0 and every nice day out i have it off and love it. It's pretty big for a sunroof and you feel open with it off and window down.

Shame the new Mustangs after 94+ don't have sunroofs. One thing i miss in my new car.

And yet Saleen got an all-glass roof coupe certified for 2006? That is BS.

Dammit Ford, offer Saleens "scenic roof" on the 2007 or 2008 models and you will sell more. It's dead sexy!

I'd definately take a sunroof over T tops....much less flex and T tops are inevidably going to leak.

I actually heard that you will be able to order the CDC Glassback top through some dealerships when ordering a new Mustang sometime in the near future.
