Super Fast turn signals drive me nuts (1968 coupe)

Posted in the wrong forum the first time . . .

I mean SUPER FAST - maybe three or four cycles per second when you indicate Left or Right. Similar to what a new car does when a bulb is out, except I don't have any bulbs that are out.

I am not good with electrics . . . has anyone else ever had this problem and if so, how
did you fix it?

Just got my car back from my parents' house, so I am sure all sorts of dumb questions are forthcoming.

You need to replace the flasher with a heavy duty unit. These are available at any parts house. It looks just like the one you now have but it's labeled "heavy duty" or "HD".

Consider swapping to an electronic flasher. That way they flash as the same speed regardless of load.

SS works good with Shelby seq tails also, I vote solid state, usually around 15 bux.
