I was wondering what you guys think about puting a superchareger on a 98 gt with 89,000 miles on it and do you think it would be safe. Hp numbers welcome.
Thanks.

Sure.....89K is nothing. Keep it between 6-9psi and have it properly tuned and it should last you quite a while.

Hey Kanye, I have a Procharger P-1sc at 10 psi and stage 2 intercooler on my 98 gt. my power #s are 312 Hp and 352 ft/lbs. My other mods to help with Hp are weld-in flows( not really Hp helper) Diablo chip, cats beat out of stock h-pipe and well heck thats about it. The rest are down in my sig any way. With those breathing mods you all ready have, your car should be making better #'s than my car.

....and if you're interested in making better numbers still. Swapping out to a PI intake and PI cams will do a lot for either one of you and still not require a huge amount of work, or break your budget.

no problem with the mileage if maint. was done.
I have non-pi heads with a PI manifold, my own port matching plates,
vortech SC with 6-8 lb, 80mm MAF
(6lb setup with power pipe) 30# inj., stock cat-back with
"PIPES" cat's & front x-pipe. 180 thermo, upgraded pump in tank and
t-rex external. of course real dyno tuning
320RWHP thats about 370hp at motor. not bad for a used SC off e-bay
DO IT

i have my 96 mustang gt supercharged with 95000 miles, and it works fine the only thing is make sure you spend the money to get it all done right do not take short cuts get it professionally installed and tuned and you should be fine, mine runs fine
