I have posted on other sites but now that this project is going modular it's time to start a thread here. Car started out as a 6 cylinder Mustang and now has received a lot of sheet metal replacement, Heidts IFS, 2003 Cobra IRS, Eleanor bodykit being fabbed up, and a 2007 GT500 5.4L SC engine. Here are some pics:

One thing that is giving me problems is on the driver side of the engine, the oil cooler seems to be in the way. Does anyone have any suggestions on what to do about this?

wow looking great. You can relocate that tube by fabbing a new one if you need to. Is that a 4.6 dohc motor?

My mechanic started test fitting the engine and it looks like we have to notch the Heidts crossmember for this to fit. I am also trying to track down an engine harness if anyone knows where one is. Here are some pics:

My friend who is finishing up the suspension and motor mods for me emailed me a few pictures so here they are. The crossmember notch is patched up and looking good.

And finally, the under dash brake booster from RRS. With that big 5.4 motor in there, every inch counts!

Good job! I am thinking about under-dash brake booster as well but I concern about the space left - will A\C system fit there? Any thoughts?

Moonraker, I haven't got to the ac yet, still trying to figure out what to do about that. It looks like there should be enough room though. I was looking into the Gen IV Systems from Classic Auto Air. That is what CDC used on their Flashback Mustang with the 5.4 in it.

Wow, great looking project Those modular motors sure are big, I used to have a 2000 GT vert, loved the motor but it's as big as a hemi so retro fitting them must have it's challenges.
