supercharger alternator problem

Well, I'm into the installation of a NOVI 1220 on my 90 LX. Everything went pretty smooth until I tried to connect the alternator wiring. First it wouldn't reach, I solved that, but now one connector does not have clearance because the sway bar ( I guess that's what it is) is in the way. I'm going to see if clocking the alternator will solve the problem but would like to know if anyone else has experienced this. My concern is that somehow I've screwed up the alternator mounting although I don't see how that is possible. Any S/C guys with alernator connector clearance problems?? Thanks for any help.

Lengthing the wires is sometimes needed. I have a 3g alternator and the power wire connector is a tight fit, but nothing major. Are you sure the swaybar is in the correct position? Maybe some very badly worn bushings?

I have a Vortech, but I believe the brackets are pretty much the same.

Good luck!
