I have a 91 Vert with the following mods:

302
E7 Powerheads
Typhoon
Custom Cam
1 5/8 shortys
2.5 O/R X
AOD
3200 Lock up Stall
Lentech Street Term VB
4.10's
Vortech V1 SC

Waiting to be installed:

Powerpipe
LMAF
42's
SN95 Fuel Rails
7" crank pulley
3.12 SC Pulley

The 4.10's I have now were great when I was N/A, but now with the SC it still a lot of fun but 1st seems useless.

I was thinking of stepping down to a 3.55 gear but was wondering if that would be too little gear in a heavy AOD vert or wouldnt be enough gear considering the 3200 stall.

Its a 90% street car with a VERY occassional trip to the track.

So what do you guy think?

I have the 3.73 rear end and I that would be pretty good for power. You can plug in your numbers and find out the speeds of your gears here... http://www.f-body.org/gears/

Agree or even 3.27.

That SC must be making 10 -12 psi?

Cool, I was really worried that 3.55 wouldnt be enuf gear with my loose stall and heavy AOD vert.

Right now its only making 4 lbs in its box stock form. When I add the other items waiting, I am hoping to see 8-10lbs

I personaly would stick with the 4:10's. I have had a SC-trim on my lx convert with 3:73's, Wishing the whole time I had 4:10's.

You could put that 200$ torwards a new B&M hammer shifter or somthing.

I had a hammer shifter and got rid of it. Mostly cause I was tired of the wife complaining about it. I replaced it with the Gate Plate conversion from B&M and actually prefer it to the Hammer.
