I would recommend heavily researching before buying one parts. Supercharging is a good way to add power, but tends to be complex and costs add up. Also, one should probably have a little bit of mechanical ability and not expect a 100% turn-key car. They have come a long way in terms of reliablity, but there will also be small tuning issues to deal with.
Once one adds up the cost of the kit, along with necessary supporting mods like fuel, exhaust, gauges, etc, it can really add up.
Plus one must consider the host car as well. Adding a $4K supercharger + supporting mods + price for install to a $2K car doesn't give you a $6K car. At that point, one might say, a $6K 4V Cobra might be a better investment than a supercharger kit for a V6.
