Suspension Frustrations

Hey everybody,
I have been really getting frustrated with my 67 fastback and before I go crazy, I thought Id post the situation and see what the experts think.
When I got her, the front and rear springs were shot and rubbing on corners. Replaced both (620's up front and 4 1/2 Mids rear) and put in new shocks all around. I also put in a front sway bar. I am running a 16" tire and wheel combo that I felt would be okay considering the replacement of the old, saggy parts. The problem is that it sounds like I am still rubbing when I either have a passenger or weight on the right side when I hit a dip going about 35. It sounds more like a metal on metal sound ( I thought it was the exhaust tip rubbing). Removed the tip and problem still exists. The weird part is that it only happens on the passenger side. I can put the weight directly behind me, hit the dip and it only rubs on the passenger side. What do you guys think? Suggestions?

how wide and how tall of a tire are you running? You might be able to solve the problem with a low profile tire, or one that is less wide so it clears the fender. As far as the metal to metal sound, do you have the rubber insulators installed on the front coils?

Both front and rear are 255/50/16. The metal on metal sound is coming from the right rear, and only the right rear (which is what is so strange- if the suspension was too low, or the tires were too wide then I would think that both sides would rub on bumps, not just the passenger side?)

Those tires are kinda big, ive got 245/60/14's on all four corners and they rub sometimes. Hopefully someone will help you better than I.

What do you expect from a suspension that's 30 something years old ? Just replacing the sprigs isn't enough to make it sound and feel like new, you have to replace all the suspension parts for that. If you've got a metal to metal sound , then get under it and look for the source, also look for a cracked frame member.
