Suspension question, I'm new

I drive an '02 GT completely stock, just bought it, anyways, my front end seems to sit higher than the rear by about an inch and I want to lower the car. I was going to go with Eibach Pro springs but this claims to do 1.5" on all 4 tires so my question is...is my front end higher because the shocks are worn out either on the front or back, or should I find springs that drop the car more in the front? I want the fender gap to look even front and back. Also how low can I drop it before I need to get camber plates? Thanks!

And I apologize if this has been asked 100x already, I couldn't find anything on a search and it's really the only question I have.

The pro kit should lower the kit 1.5" all the way around. Caster camber plates will most likely not be needed.

no. not with those springs

on suspension it is more than just lets add some springs, lower the car and go.. you need to read make some nice choices, because if you don't do your susension right 1 you will not get any benifits from it, and 2 it will throw off the geomitry of you car. so look, research, and make a good choice, and if i were to do it right now, i wouldn't buy just sprins and save for shocks, i would get everything i needed the 1st time..

Very good advice....... When I installed the pro kit on my 04 I was a bit
disappointed with the drop. I only got 1 inch in the back and 3 quarter inch
up front. But my GT sat higher in the back before. Now it looks level front
to back. I still wish it had dropped at least another quarter inch in front, but
I can live with it. You wont need cc plates. But you probably do want to go ahead
and add new shocks and struts if you have over 40k on the car.

Yeah I bought the car with 58,000 mostly highway miles from an old man that lives way out in the boonies. I want a decent drop but still have a comfortable ride as a daily driver, and I agree with the shocks and struts, I am looking at doing the Eibach Pro-System which comes with both. The pics I see of mustangs with the eiback pro's seem like a pretty good drop, I just hope it is level front to back, my biggest complaint is that the front end sits higher than the rear which looks retarded.

Check out the H&R Sport kit. It drops the car 1.5 out back and 1.6 up front - so you get a little rake in the right direction. I had the Sport kit on my car and never had any problems going over speed bumps, etc... I also got new Shocks/Struts + MM CC Plates when I did the drop.

I did the steeda stage 1 and love how it sits. The drop was just enough, plus the caster camber plates helped get it aligned properly. Ran a set of Nitto 555's for 60k with this setup and had no issues what so ever.

I've said it a few times, but I don't believe in spending money on things to make my car look like it should from the factory. So, I bought an angle grinder from Wal-mart and cut down the springs in my car. It rides fine, no problems with handleing or anything... and It looks great. I always have people telling me my car looks good the way it sits. I do need to get new shocks though, riding lower, will wear out the rubber gaskets on the stock shocks.... but I'm lazy and I 'll worry about that bridge when I cross it...lol

id say stay away from the eibach pro kit. I had them on for about a week before I took them off and swapped them for h&r Supersports. the drop was not as advertised despite having let them settle for a week. If I were you i would go ahead and get the steeda sport springs or an H&R brand springs, or maximum motorsports...
