I just bought a 85 Mustang Gt t top, and it came with a ton of parts. Among these parts was a complete Svo K member. He said the Svo handled really well due to the different angles of the k member and lower a arms and such.. I don't know much about Svo's so here I am to see what I can figure out lol. Is it worth it to swap this thing in? I want to run the 04 Cobra brakes I have and he said I wouldn't be able to with the struts or whatever that the svo k member needs. The car came with all new Koni struts and the ones for the front are for Svo cars only apparently. Anyone care to fill in on this if they know anything? I know nothing about Svo stuff and I haven't seen it on here anywhere.

If I remember correctly the SVO frontend shares a lot of parts with a Lincoln Mark VII, if you are swapping to newer parts anyways I think I would not bother swapping a stocker SVO k member in personally.

If I remember right, the only difference in the struts themselves was the spacing of the bolt holes on the bottom of the struts.

If for instance, you were going to use SN95 spindles, you would need to machine some spacers to reuse the struts. The other option would be to just swap to a set of 87+ struts for the conversion.

Okay, the lower control arm is def different looking. I plan on using the 95 spindles with 04 cobra brakes but really didn't wanna swap a whole k member if it wasn't gonna give me any gain.
