Since when did ford start charging for these? I just purchased a 94 cobra and called ford yesterday only to find out they wanted $30 for the certificate. Years back when i purchased my last cobra they send it to me for free. Is there any other way to find out your build number besides getting the certificate?

They started chraging when SVT cut back and was almost completely eliminated last year.

Fords way of saving money.

I don't have a certificate either... who cares? Do they add horsepower?
