My fuel pump is dieing and I have heard that it is a good Idea to replace the stock pump with an SVT Focus pump. Is this true? I know Saleen uses the stock pump in the supercharged cars. If it IS true anyone have a part # or application to ask for?
Does this really help??? What else is needed???Seems cheap for a fuel pump?? Also does anyone recommende a Boost a Pump too?? Mark, your cars an Auto right??
the focus pump works just fine for me, just drop the focus pump into your stock pump harness but if i decide to go with anymore power i will add a boost a pump along with my svt focus pump, it is just about maxed out with a little over 400whp
Todd... My car is a stick.You have to upgrade the fuel pump any time you are upping the boost via a pulley. The stock gt pump can't keep up when you are running 10+- psi of boost or more. If you don't change out the pump your car will go lean at full throttle & high rpm the combo of the two could destroy the engine.Alot of people are running the boost a pump I just went with the SVT pump.
Sorry Marc, I was referring to Mstng2! I was thinking his car was an automatic, but I couldn't remember if it was or not?? I gotta get me one of those pumps! I've got a few plans for building some HP in my car and this is a good place to help get the proper fuel where I need it!! Is this a different Fuel pump then what the 03-04 Cobra has or the same??
