I have an 87 5.0 LX. The stabilizer or sway bar bracket just snapped yesterday.
I was wondering if anybody knows where I can get one of those things or a part#.
I have looked every where. I don't want a junkyard piece. I would appreciate any
suggestions.

They make new pistons every day, so why worry?

Are we talking about the link itself broke of the bracket spot welded into the factory front frame rail? If it's just the link or bushings that broke then your local parts house should stock new replacements or hit up energy suspension for aftermarket replacements

The problem in the front sway bar bushing bracket. The bushing sits on a kind of platform and the bracket surrounds the bushing. It is made that way so the bar clears
the oil pan I think. It is a long bracket that bolts to the k member. The ones I have seen are much to short to work.

I ran through this same issue awhile back because the PO of my car used the aftermarket brackets that came with the Energy Suspension sway bar bushings. This meant the sway bar hit the oil pan.

I looked everywhere but no one seems to offer a replacement for the Fox front sway bar bracket. I ended up going to the junkyard and pulling a pair off of a 2.3L Fox. The brackets are the same between the 2.3L and 5.0L, the difference is the bushing because the 2.3L has a smaller diameter sway bar.

I know it's not what you want but JY is your best option.
