also there is a huge myth that switching to synthetic oil will cause leaks. that is simplly not true. what actually happens is that synthetic oil has a generally higher cleaning abilty due to the higher quality additive packs. therefore it cleans more of the sludge buildup and will expose leaks that were masked by sludge.
