Systemax II

I've got a .030 over 302 with a holley systemax II kit on it. 24lb inj, 70mm tb, 1.6:1 rockers, 190lph fuel pump, fuel reg @ 42. Lots of other extra's and only 200 miles on the new motor. Haven't really gotten on it yet, but the car feels real sluggish. Almost feels like it's got less bottom end torque and hp. I also have set the timing to 20 deg. Cam timing is set to 0. Dome pistons w/ 11.0:1 compression and 101 octane fuel. Car idles and sounds great, but I was expecting a little bit under 400hp from all the mods. It feels like I only have 250. Can anyone offer any advice or share experiences with the systemax II package????

I don't have the holley kit on my car but thought I might chime in...That seems like alot of timing for a 11:1 compression ratio even with the 101 octane...You sure your not detonating it's hard to hear on a built motor..You might wanna try taking some timing out of it and go by the SOTP..Also that motor is still pretty tight...My 2cents

take it to a dyno an have them check the 'ol air fuel ratio. MAf could be going south.

i think that the holley kit only says that it is gonna get like 330HP. I think that that is WAY too much timing! When i had my timing set too high once, it felt like it was gonna fall on its face. But, then i backed the timing down to 12 or so and it feels GREAT.
