Not much is involved besides the right tools and tranny fluid. You can just tuck the clutch pedal under the carpet but i wouldnt take it out. it is more trouble than it is worth, plus you have the option of putting a t-5 back in when you get tired of the slush pump LOL (JOKE)

Ok i read somewhere that you have to make sure to have that aluminum dust cover plate installed because it has to do with clearences, but is the one for an AOD different than T-5?

The one in the t-5 goes all the way around and the bell housing where I think the auto just covers the bottom portion of the trans and torque converter. But you dont have to have this on the auto but do on the t-5. Makes it nice tho so it keeps clean

I am not sure how the setup is on an AOD but I swapped a t-5 to a c-4 in another car and It was fairly easy. Make sure you have lines to run the tranny fluid to either the radiator or tranny cooler. Some radiators have this section built in but not all and I dont know it Fox body radiators did or not. You will also need a new shifter of course. Most B&M and other aftermarket shifters are cable operated and fairly easy to install as well. Also, the pilot bearing might be different too. The c-4 that I installed didnt need a pilot bushing/bearing so I had to remove the one that was there from the t-5 and the tranny just went into the crank. I am not sure on a AOD tho so I would check on that as well.

I'm considering swapping my T-5 for a strong AOD. Motor is putting out 560-570 supercharged HP. Who builds the killer AOD? Thx. jc
