I am rebuilding a t5 trans and am wondering what rebuild kit to use and any other parts such as gears or different shafts that i should use. I don't wanna spend that must keep the rebuild about 400 dollars. thanks
First you gotta check to see if all your hard parts are OK. This is bent shift forks, broken gears, completely fubared synchros and other physical damage.
If everything checks out fine you can order rebuild kits from either D&D performance or Hanlon Motorsports for about $160 bucks. This includes all the wearable parts inside the trans like bearings and such
