I live in Virginia Beach, so on my way home Wednesday at 5 o'clock I was lucky enough to be able to drive through what was left of tropical storm Alberto. I get about 2 blocks from my house with no real incidents except for stupid drivers(rain always brings them out). When I turn onto my street, there is about 2 feet of water on the sides of the road and it appeared to be about 8" to 12" in the center of the road in places. Instead of driving around I decide that it can't be that bad and so I forge ahead. I go through some deeper water than I had expected, but I make it home. On Thursday I get in my car and crank her up, everything is fine except for the exhaust sound. It is as quiet as a mouse. All I have are some 2 chamber flowmasters, but they were definetally louder before I went through that water. Am I crazy? Is it possible that the high water did something to my exhaust? Or should I just use this as a good excuse to tell the wife that my car is broke and I NEED to order this new cat back exhaust?

I like the "order a new Cat-back" answer. Who knows, your exhaust may have water in it.
