I have a 3 row aluminum radiator, and electric fan. Is it bad to have a T-stat that stays open the whole time?

What matters most is what the coolant temp is.

?

You will want to be between 185F - 200F, or so.

It wouldnt really be a t-stat if it stayed open at all times, would it. If your system is that efficient, the stat will close and allow the coolant in the motor to heat up, thus opening the stat again.

I totally agree with Jason's sentiments about lookin at your operating temps (rather than worrying about the actual stat rating itself).

Good luck.
