I put convertable doors on my 87 t top and the windows are about an inch too short. I have seen a number of 88 t top mustangs with convertable style doors thats the only reason I attempted to do this, Do 88 t top cars have special glass for 88's?
Did the same thing on my 86 T-top. The windows would roll all the way up. So I adjusted the insides to make them roll all the way up, but then they would go all the way down. Stuck about 3/4- an inch from the dew wipe. I eneded up swapping all my 86 T-top door internals over and probelm fixed. The windows are different,, vert windows are shorter than t-top ones. I put them side by side..
Did you 87 doors have the mirrors by the A pillar?? And do the 88 vert doors have them on the door itself?? If so you won't be able to swap out the t-top internals. Well, be able to swap out the mechaniacl part, but not the windows. You need to find 87 vert doors with the mirrors by the A pillar and swap the internals out or get 88 T-top doors witht he mirros on the door itself.
