T5 from a 2.3T

Hello there !

-T5 tranny out of a 2.3L '87 (153,000km)
-In perfect condition
-Shifter and Bellhousing included
-No leaks
-Possibility of flywheel,new clutch,pressure plate

can I use that on my 5.0L ?

I used many 4 cylinder t-5s in my 83... they are much weaker but they are ok if you're in a bind. People say change the pilot bearing to a certain one because the input shaft where it meets the pilot bearing is smaller, but I never did and never had a problem. I dunno about the clutch and flywheel.. that's cutting corner worse... I believe it is a 10 inch flywheel which is much weaker.

the bearing is also provide in the kit .. I'll keep my actualy clutch/flywheel if these are not better

i ran a 4cyl t-5 for almost years and i didn't destroy it.i was hard on it and it seen a few d/s nights.i never tore it out,i just replaced it with a t-5z.

You can't and don't want to use the 2.3 flywheel and clutch on the 5.0. I'm not sure, but the bolt pattern on the crank might even be different. Just use your stock 5.0 flywheel, clutch, pressure plate and bellhousing.
