t5 swap problem... please help!

everything was ready to accept the tranny. Went to bolt the tranny to the bellhousing and the tranny will not seat correctly to the bell housing. Throw-out bearing slides all the way back on the input shaft. Spline count is correct. Only aftermarket part is the Center Force clutch...

Has anyone had this problem? Help would be appreciated...

how far off??

try having someone push up and down on the clutch pedal as you try to slide the tranny in more...just make sure it's all the way in as far as you can get it before you try to work the pedal.

mine was about 1/2" or so off of the bellhousing, I just had to pull it in with the tranny bolts.

p.s. my swap is now about 33,500 miles old with no problems.

Did you use the clutch alignment tool?

94-95 93 and earlier t-5s have different length input shafts make sure u have the right one i ran into this found out the hard way

I always have a problem getting in the last half inch too.

Ooo that sounds dirty.

It's usaully aligning of the pilot bearing giving me the trouble.
