Hey all. My wife's mustang needs to have the transmission rebuilt. But I was wondering if the 3650 will bolt right up or is there another transmission that is stronger that will bolt right up?
Not without many other expensive parts. A 3550 would be easier to install, but overkill for a V6 Mustang. The 3650 bellhousing was designed for the modular motor.
If you want a stronger T-5, look into a T-5z. Will bolt up easily and should be enough to take the power of a V6. Even a standard T5 should be able to handle the torque.
