T5 TOO HOT!

I thought that manual trans were supposed to stay releativly cool? Well my T5 is always sooo hot and i can feel the heat like crazy thru the shifter boot! What could be wrong? is this normal? Thanks

I am betting it is heat from the cats, not the tranny. I didn't see o/r pipe in your cardomain.

Mine seems similar to what your experiencing...seems normal to me...and I have an offroad h...it is probably a bit of the pipe and tranny...

Really, well I am getting one this week cuz my cats rattle like crazy at low rpms, I shall see if the heat goes away. Thanks
