T5 transmission fluid

if you have an extra yoke you can place it in the tail shaft or I prefer to actually fill the tranny through the shifter hole after it's been installed. it makes the tranny easier for me to handle and I dont have any spots on the floor from fluid that has come out of the tail. just my .02

no it's normal for any tranny to loose it fluid out the tail shaft when tilted even just a little on some, you would have to some how cap it or install and secure a yoke in there.

since the thing is out the way to do it is get a funnel and secure some hose on it that will fit in the fill hole, now feed the hose through the shifter hole from inside the car and pour the fluid into the funnel until fluid comes out of the fill hole...make sure the car is level you are done. you can use this method during regular changes just pop of the shifter bezel and lower boot and fill from inside the car go slow and to avoid a spill, never had a problem .

I've had my tranny in and out of my car many times and recommend just filling it through the shifter location. Like they said, go slow and use a funnel so you don't spill everywhere. Be sure to just let it sit and idle to get the fluid around all the gears and when you first drive it go through all the gears to get them well lubed. I typically do this with the car in the air though I don't recommend it as I'm typically about to piss my pants from being scared; gets the job done though.

Also, I believe the amount needed is 2.8 quarts.
