I just installed a ZT-2 WB data logger. The rpm input was taken from the coil. The rpm display on the laptop shows large flucuations at idle. The install instructions indicate that the coil is an okay input source but also references a tach square wave connection as the preferred location. What are they talking about and where would I tap into this point?

Seems to me that the PIP generates a square wave. The thing is that it's rough and gets cleaned up in the EEC, so I'm not sure how that would work.

I also don't know if an aftermarket ignition box has an output terminal with a square wave or if a little add-on module can be added. With your blower, I wasnt sure if you already had a box or not.......................

Stock ignition. I'll check with a parts store to see if they have something like you suggested.
