Tail Pipes

Ok, now that I got my o/r H, I need some bigger tailpipes. I currently have 2.5" pipes and looking into getting 3.5" pipes. Can any1 provide a link?

I have MAC flowpaths, will any tail pipe fit that?

Also, my current tailpipes are welded in to the hooks, so I'm not sure if the people replacing it will have a hard time.

A really quick google search, I think 3" might be a little better, but it's up to you. also, shop around, these probably aren't the best prices... i just know ractive makes what ur looking for.

as for the hook, the muffler shop could just weld some on probably.

Just my opinion but I would keep the ones you have. There are no performance gains here. My reasoning is if you spend money on an exhaust it should at least gain you something. If you feel the need to spend money on just the visual aspect then go for it.

I just think the tips are too small. I like the first link. Btw, what will they do with my existing pipe? Cause it's all one piece, will they cut it off and put the tip in?

I've seen em all, 3.5" looks way overkill on the car, and the 2.5's look like pea shooters. IMO 3" is the best, it's what I run, and lookswise it's not too big or too small.

hehe, i've got 2.25"...thats whats stock right? I didnt get a full cat-back, just mufflers. Mine look like straws out the back, but still sound great, so i'll keep them for now.

do you have mac tail pipes if so you can bolt on bigger mac tails to what you already have .i'm putting maganflow tips over my flowmaster ones to give it a better look than the small 2.5s i have now

Yup, I have a man tailpipes. So the only thing i'd be able to get are just tips that bolt on top? I was thinking of getting whole new tailpipes.

you can get some weld-in polished stainless steel 3"x18" or 3"x24" tips off of ebay for around 70.00.

Yeah, thats the question I was asking earlier, if you could just cut it short and put the new one in. But no1 answered it, lol.

ok, one warning. Watch the length of the new tips, or you'll end up sticking out too far. That's my problem. If i was in Canada I'd check the length of my tips and let you know. I think they're about a foot and half long, but you'll only be able to cut back so far into the stocker until it's bending up over the axle. Best bet is to find a shorter pipe, or you'll have to cut and grind your new ones down a bit. hope that helps
