take a look at this x-pipe, is it worth buying?

I was thinking about buying this x-pipe, but obviously from the looks of it it is used, and was cut then re-welded above the cats to gut them out. and take a look at the pipe in the foreground, where the weld is there almost appears to be a hole, am i mistaken in thinking this?? please give me your opinions, should i get it??

Looks like they cut it and then re-welded the pipes to make it fit "better". If you can get it for cheap I would say it is a good buy.

I don't think that is a hole in the pipe. Looks the same as the other black stuff in the photo.

Could've been an offroad x that they made into a catted one. Matthiasj said what I would, for the right price, it'd definitely be worth it!

I had to do the same with my bbk x pipe with high flow cats. It is still worth buying as long as the cats are good.

btw it will only cost like $20 to have it cut and rewelded if you need to.

if you want to pass emissions, no. If you want a quasi-catted basanni x-pipe, then yes.

Was it alot louder? I have heard that when you gut cats, they do not sound the same as an off road pipe.

it didnt sound much different then an offroad bassani, at least not enough to notice a difference. But it was louder then before.
