I'd like to get some minor tuning done to my 2005 GT manual, mainly to improve throttle response (hopefully just easy reflashing.)

Any recommendations on a good tuner shop in the Tampa Bay area who knows the 2005+ cars?

Thanks!

I could be wrong, but I'm 99.999% sure that you will have to purchase a hand-held tuner (either SCT or Predator) first before any shop can custom tune your car. The 05 doesn't use a chip like the previous years, you must reflash it and once you do that, the hand-held device is VIN locked to your car. Once you do get one, I'd recommend Sam @ Coastal Dyno in Brandon.

Thanks, works for me. I'm in St. Pete, so Brandon isn't that bad a drive at all.

I can't find a listing for Coastal. Does someone have their phone #? Or, do they go under a different name?

Thanks!

dyno shop/tampa, fl

as long as the shop owner's name is not don walker, you'll be just fine, not trying to start anything, just giving a heads up on what not to do to save money and aggravation.

FYI, I called Coastal, and $600 gets you your Predator tuner and a dyno tune for optimization. That's a good bit cheaper than a couple of other local (Pinellas) shops I spoke to.

That sounds about right...My tune and dyno time was $200.00. I already had the predator

Coastal Dyno

Hi,
Hoping someone can point me in the right direction. I have a 2006 GT 5 speed. I've installed undrive pulleys, a K&N CAI, BBK shorty headers, BBK throttle body, FlowMaster American Thunder mufflers.
When the engine is cold, it shifts fine; that is when I step on the clutch and let off the gas the RPM's drop as they should. When the engine gets to operating temp, the RPM's do not drop and sometimes increase a couple of 100 when I step on the clutch to shift. I took it to the Ford dealer, they said it had to be tuned and they could not do it. The dealer suggested Coastal Dyno in Tampa, but it looks like they are closed. Any ideas?
Thanks!!

7-Up Convertible,
Thanks for the reply, maybe I have the wrong number. I have Coastal Dyno down at 813-849-2423. Tried called and get an answering machine. I have their address as 7828 Causeway, Tampa. Drove over a couple of times and no one is there.
Do you know of any other dependable shops?
Thanks!
