my Eboost 2's RPM signal wire. Is this and ok thing to do? I had tapped into the - wire from one of my COPs, but apparently our ignition is a CD type. I was getting random readings from 500RPM to 30,000, so that didnt work. So I remembered someone on here saying that you can use the - wire thats coming from a fuel injector. Spliced into that wire on cylinder # 8 (again not the hot/red wire) and the RPM function is working normally....just had to tell it my engines a 1 cylinder motor because its only looking at one cylinder.
So is this going to cause ANY problems with the injector or lean/richness of that cylinder due to the EEC not seeing enough return voltage or something crazy like that? Just want to make sure because the LAST thing I need is a lean cylinder under boost
.
BTW I have NO idea where the RPM signal wire that supposedly comes from the EEC is located or I would have used that.
