That's a funny comment coming from someone who just commented that the negative comments around here are why you don't come around much anymore.

You think anyone wants to hear that crap man? Why even say crap like that? Just keep it to yourself.

And yet you think that somehow your pointless white trash comment aids to the quality of this thread?

I wouldn't.

IMO I think the reason Mustang, Nascar, sports tats, etc. don't turn out good is because it is such a recognized symbol that no matter how good the artist is, it will NOT look exactly like the original, and will be slightly distorted because your skin isn't a perfect canvas.

If you do get one, you may regret it because you won't have any more money for the Stang, you'll have a new mod bug

Here's my half sleeve in progress: (now colored in)

There are SEVERAL websites that will allow you to send in artwork in which they will print onto TEMP tattoo deals. This way, you can wear your tat for a while. It will appear real (As soap and water do not remove them.. it takes something a little more harsh).. You can decide if you really like it that much during the "testing" phase.

I agree with your telling him to get what he wants. Just like when someone customizes their car and posts pic on here, and gets bashed, you paid for it and did it an hopefully like it, why should we care what anyone else does to their own car/body?
At any rate, I was trying to give him some sage advice to help him think about down the road. Not all of us can be talented enough to be welders/fabricators (myself included), some of us will be business people, or salesmen, or engineers or doctors, or waiters, and in those cases, a short sleeved shirt and a full tat sleeve in most cases aren't quite acceptable. This is my opinion, I have seen many a regretted tatoo. Just trying to help out a yougin'.

Don't let anyones opinion dictate what you do. If you find a tattoo that YOU like, get it. Remember this is a life long work of art. Noone else has to like whatever YOU have on your body. I have 3 tattoos and this is the only one that is car related. It is also the only one that you can see if I have a shirt on. I could give a rats ass who likes it or who likes my car for that matter. I built my car for me and I got the tat for me. As you get older in life, you figure out that if you let others opinions guide you, you won't be happy with the results.

Getting inked on the inside of your forearm seems like it would hurt like a mofo...

I'm pretty much with what the majority of here's said, with regards to getting tat'ed; if you're gonna do it, be ABSOLUTELY SURE about it (think how you'll look and feel about it when you're, say, 40 or 50 years old), maybe get a temp/henna version of it done to see how it looks, and for heaven's sakes, don't get something that doesn't have a true personal meaning to it for you - getting ink just for the sake of getting ink is just silly, and you'll usually wind up regretting it.

I always had to laugh when I was drawing blood from these really old veterans and former bikers and such up on the hospital floors, and these dudes would be all old and shriveled up and poopin' in man-diapers, but here they've got all of these hardcore tats of skulls n' whatnot, things like "Kill 'em all, let God sort 'em out" and "death from above." Y'know, stuff they probably got when they were 18 and getting shipped off to Korea or Vietnam and didn't consider the possibility they might live long enough to look like a fool in their 70's or later. Just my experience, though.

I might get a tattoo or two of something later on in life, but right now I can't think of any one thing that I can say with complete certainty that I might not regret having later on in life - certainly nothing that I couldn't hide with a T-shirt or something simple.

i think u have no idea what your talking about, im going to be making 30 dollars + an hour not minimum wage, i got 5 tattoos and plan to get more, just because theres a few s like you that cant handle gettting a tattoo, and probly to lazy to do any kind of hard work and would rather stand in a store and try sell something, judging people because of what they have on there skin, is absolutly the dumbest thing i ever heard in my life, a few of you should really grow up, as i tell anyone who says what are u gonna do in 30 years with all the tattoos....i say ill deal with it then, not worrying about it now!

get a life and stop raggin on people, no one wants to hear negative **** like car themed tattos= white trash, and u will only get a minimum wage job blah blah........and soul purpose of empression? wtf are u talking about i know i for one got my tattos because i like them, dont give a sweet **** who likes or sees them , i think your retarded for even thinking like this IMO........

The indication here is that if you have a tattoo, people like this think you are white trash, and therefore will deny you one of their highly coveted professional jobs. Interesting. Consequently, you will wind up doing manual labor. Huh. I drive an asphalt truck, here in Chicago, work with lots of manual labor folks. With my running horse on my left arm, and my $33 an hour, it never struck me that I might be white trash, or the people working on the ground around me, who make more than me, ever seemed to want a "professional" job. I have a nice house, kids eat well, have good health insurance, retirement set up, Suzy gets a new SUV every couple of years. The people who spent thousands at college and work at a "professional" job, but wouldn't have a tattoo, lest it stymie their stellar career goals, just to work longer and make less than we do, think we're trash? Who's retarted? Your welcome for the road, by the way. Get your tattoo, kid.
