Taurus fan install? Hayden controller?

Im about to get a taurus fan for $35 from the salvage and am going to hook it up on my capri. I already have a 135amp gm one wire alternator so Im set there. Anyways, I work at autozone and we have these fan controllers made by hayden. One of them is adjustable from 32* all the way up to 200+*. Would this work good for my setup, or can I just wire it up with a switch to turn it on when I want. What kind of fuse setup would I want? How high amp wise? Thanks in advance for the info and help. Fiveoh has a write up in his sig on the fan install.

i would run a manual switch and a controller. use the manual switch to energize a coil on the relay for the fan.

I just got done installing my taurus fan this week. I used a 35amp toggle switch and a 14awg fusible link at the battery.
You will also need a 75amp relay. You can order one from www.bpg-inc.com
They are about $30 The part # is 332-002-156

If you have air conditioning and you plan to use it, you need to get a controller that will activate the fan whenever the AC is used. Otherwise, at idle without air moving over the condensor the pressures on the high side will shoot up astronomically, maybe even enough to eject some freon through the blow off valve (I've seen it happen). I use the Flex-a-lite Variable Speed Fan Controller with no complaints.

What if I was to use a taurus relay and wire it up to a manual switch? Would that work? What kind of switch would I use, just a regular toggle switch and then i switch it on myself when i get to a certain temp or run it all the time? What all do I have to wire up? I think theres 4 wires and you only use 3. One wire would obviously go to the battery with a fusible link for power, the other is a ground and the other must go to the relay and switch right?

i might be wrong but ones power/when cars on then theres a high and low and ground hook the high up all the time at and power the toggle
