on my 01 GT auto.. if I get an after market torqe converter can it help my trap MPH..

Probably not. Trap speed is a measure of power and with a higher-stall TC you're not putting anything more to the ground.

You might gain a smidge if you could find a TC with a strong-enough lock-up clutch that could be engaged during the run to reduce slip-related losses.

Yup, there will be a very, very little gain if any.

The better you hook up the lower your trap ususally is, so there might be a small loss.

I dont drag my auto.. but was wondering if there was a way to get more HP to the ground.. with a new TC yeah..

i think you'll see a gain since you'll be using the your power band more. probably a couple mph...but also depends on traction and differences in 60 ft times
