there is a tc motor at the local picnpull, but the header and turbo are missing. it looks like the parts have been off for a while too. the longblock is going for 150. is this worth it?

That's not too bad, although I did buy a complete no-title car for $150 a couple years ago...

Just keep in mind that replacing the turbo and exhaust manifold will probably cost you around $200-250 (for used ones) and decide if it's worth it to you or not.

On that same topic I have a T3 center section I'm trying to sell that needs a new oil seal. Would sell it for a pretty decent price, if you're interested.

yeah I figured I the header and a turbo are going to run me at least 300. by that time I am getting close to the price of a 5.0
hmmm gonna have to think about this one. aside from changing the wiring is the turbo engine swap plug and play?

Its plug and play compared to a 5.0 swap done properly. I'd keep my eyes open and on local cars going for cheap. I picked my 2.3T up complete (with turbo / flywheel/pressure plate, everything) for 300$.

not too many turbo fords here, which is why I am even considering purchasing it. there is only one other in the area that I know of and it is not a parts car and I doubt it is for sale. hell foxbodies in general are getting hard to find here.

i know of atleast 11 fox bodies, locally that i can pick up for cheap! theyre dime a dozen here. i picked up my 79 cobra for $100 running and driving! im paying $400 for a complete merkur, to swap the engine into the cobra. im pretty sure that the ECU is toast though. other than that, its complete! there was a guy with a T3 and manifold for around $150 on a local (my area) sale website. ill check to see if its still on there.

you said fox bodies are getting hard to find. i said there dime a dozen here. there are around 11 i could buy for cheap. im picking up a merkur for a donor, because they have a 2.3T. not a fox body, but has the same turbo coupe engine.
